CRON's Thermal CTP products meet the most stringent demands for print quality. High quality imaging is achieved through extremely accurate dot formation, a tonal range of 1%-99% in either conventional or stochastic screening and up to 2800 dpi resolution (or an optional 3600 dpi).

With output speeds up to 63 plates per hour (in smaller models), comprehensive automation options throughout the range, and the ability to be operated in a daylight environment, they provide a fast and convenient flow of plates for the majority of printing applications from A3 to VLF. (Very Large Format)

As the world’s largest manufacturer of CTP systems, CRON is sure to have a solution for every need!

Corrugated Printing

Corrugated Printing

Corrugated Printing

High quality, 1200 x 1200 dpi, inkjet technology is now applied to a shorter run corrugated print system that’s capable of feeding a 20.5” x 24” item as thick as 3/8”. The same system can be hand fed in sizes up to 24” x 34” and as thick as 2”. Paper bags, boxes, coffee sleeves, coasters and so much more can all be done on this affordable system.

Anything to do with the packaging market is a large and growing opportunity. Combine this corrugated printer with one of our digital die cutters and you’ll be “all-in” for the digital, short run custom packaging market.

Envelope Printing

Are you a higher volume shop in need of that “next-up” level of envelope production? How about speeds up to 4,000 or 6,000 or even a blazing hot 10,000 full color envelopes per hour? Our inkjet based solutions bring you that at an incredibly low cost per envelope. Need it? We’ve got it.

We also offer the more traditional toner based envelope solution in both CMYK and CMYK plus white. Adding white to your CMYK is a significant door opening opportunity for higher margins. For your customers that want and need their mailings to get more attention, offer them a colored envelope and use the white to make things pop off that dark background. Premium envelopes mean premium margins!

Don’t stop at envelopes. Utilize the power of white for invitations, menus, brochures and so much more, all of which can also be printed on these engines on substrates up to 13” x 52”!

That’s right, 52”. Think about banners, 6 and 8-page brochures, etc.

Inkjet Printing

Inkjet Printing

Inkjet Printing

Inkjet printing is now the fastest-growing print process in traditional and packaging printing and will only continue to grow. It now accounts for the highest share of the print industry’s R&D spending. At this point, inkjet is fully on, and moving quickly down the rails of greater integration within our industry. The overall buyer/user experience has, and will only continue to become even more accessible and market friendly.

Capabilities will continue to increase. Inkjet is now ideal for a wide range of applications including direct mail, publishing, transactional, flyers, sales sheets, menus, envelopes, corrugated, paper bags, labels, biz cards, etc.

Did you know that we can now take an older, existing web press and upgrade it to a fully digital inkjet press for less than roughly half the cost of a new continuous inkjet press? How about taking an older sheet fed press and converting it to a web fed, digital inkjet press? Can do! Entry into this market may be less costly than you think!

Our inkjet presses are available in mono, cmyk, simplex, duplex and sizes of 13”x19” and 18”x26”

Our inkjet solutions serve short run applications as well as high-end sheet or web production needs and come in sizes of 13”x19”, 18”x26” and up to 24”x34
